LipoLaser is a non-invasive, red visible light “low level laser” meaning that it is very low in energy and does not generate enough heat to burn or damage the body or the skin. The mechanism by which these devices work non-invasively is based on a field of science called “Photobiology”, or “Photochemistry”, and an entire branch of science has been created to further understand and research the potential that low level lasers possess. Harvard University has dedicated an entire department called “The Wellman Center ” to the study of light based applications and many of their discoveries form the foundation for what we know today regarding how low level lasers and red visible light work. For approximately the past 40 years low level laser technology has been used for numerous applications. Low level lasers have been used for non-invasive body contouring and inch loss only in the past ten years and during that time several new applications have been developed.
